Andrei Cimpian is an Associate Professor of Psychology at New York University. His work investigates the mental representations that underlie children’s explanations for what they observe around them, motivation in school, and concepts of natural kinds and social groups (including stereotypes).

This event is the second talk in Harvard Women in Psychology’s Science: Uncorked discussion series, which aims to provide small-group guided question and answer discussions with leading faculty to help illuminate the unfiltered experiences in science, including failures and guilty pleasures, as well as tokens of excitement and gratitude.
