Emily is a graduate student working with Elizabeth Phelps. She is interested in maladaptive emotional memories and leveraging memory reconsolidation to dampen threat responses and subjective negative feelings related to these memories. She is also interested in memory reactivation during sleep and the role of REM sleep and frontal theta activity in aversive memory strengthening and conscious re-experiencing during sleep and wake. In her free time, Emily enjoys exploring nature and hanging out with her two wonderful cats.
