Srijani is a graduate student in the Harvard Vision Lab, working with Prof. George Alvarez and Prof. Talia Konkle. She uses large-scale deep learning networks and psychometric experiments to study how complex human visual phenomena such as lightness illusions may emerge from interactions of local, simple learning rules. The mentorship from fellow women played an essential role in her decision to pursue graduate studies and continues to shape her development as a researcher. As an early stage PhD student, Srijani is incredibly grateful for the endless support the WiP community provided as she transitioned into this program. As co-president of WiP, Srijani is excited to work with everyone to ensure trainees across all levels in the department thrive.
